The episodes from the thirteenth flavour of the anime series Naruto: Shippuden are based on Role II of the setting of Naruto manga series by Masashi Kishimoto. The episodes are directed by Hayato Date and produced past Pierrot and TV Tokyo.^[ane] The season focuses on the Fourth Peachy Ninja State of war betwixt Naruto Uzumaki and the Hidden Villages' ninja against the forces nether the masked ninja Tobi and Kabuto Yakushi. There is also a side story arc. The thirteenth flavor began airing on August 23, 2012 on Tv Tokyo and ended on Jan 10, 2013.^[2]

The English dubbed version of this flavor began on Jan 10, 2015, on Neon Alley. The flavour would brand its English tv set debut on Developed Swim's Toonami programming block and premiere from Nov 24, 2019 to May ten, 2020.

The season'due south collection in DVD started on April 3, 2013 under the title of The 7 Shinobi Swordsmen ( 忍刀七人衆 , Shinobigatana Shichinin-shū ). Director's cuts of episodes 290 to 295 were released in two special edition DVDs titled Power: Blackness ( 力-Chikara- 黒 , Chikara Kuro ) and Power: White ( 力-Chikara- 白 , Chikara Shiro ) on July 3, 2013 and Baronial seven, 2013.

This season contains four musical themes: two openings and ii endings. The kickoff opening theme, "Totsugeki Rock" ( 突撃ロック , "Set on Rock") past The Cro-Magnons, is used from episode 276 to 281. The 2d opening theme "Moshimo" by Daisuke is used from episodes 282 to 295. The first ending theme, "Kono Koe Karashite feat. CHEHON" ( この声枯らしてfeat. CHEHON , "Shout This Voice Dry feat. CHEHON") by AISHA, is used from episode 276 to 281. The 2d ending theme, "MOTHER" by MUCC is used from episodes 282 to 295. The sixth feature flick, Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie, was released on July 28, 2012. The broadcast versions of the episodes 276 to 277 include scenes from the film in the opening themes, while retaining the music "Totsugeki Stone".
